"CAMP KEF" היא תכנית עברית בגישת ההטמעה במחנה יום עבור ילדים בכיתות גן-ד'. כל תכניות המחנה הן באנגלית והן בעברית מתנהלות באותה המתכונת ובמקביל.
 

מטרת תכנית העברית היא לחשוף ולהטמיע את הילדים בסביבה אותנטית של השפה העברית  עם מדריכים דוברי עברית, דרך פעילויות חווייתיות של מחנה יום רגיל. כל הצוות בתכנית "CAMP KEF" הם דוברי עברית ותפקידם לתקשר ולתמוך בחניכים בשפה העברית לאורך כל היום.

 

"CAMP KEF" מופעלת בשותפות וליווי של ארגון ערבים קייץ קף/עברית במחנה.

 

מנהל תכנית "CAMP KEF" יחשב כחבר צוות אינטגרלי של הנהלת המחנה, וינהל את כל ההיבטים של תכנית העברית. עליו לדאוג וליישם סביבה עברית לאורך כל היום, לתמוך ולהכשיר את המדריכים בתכנית, לפתח את תכני התכנית מבעוד מועד, וכן גם ידאג לתקשורת טובה עם ההורים בזמן המחנה.

 

לפני ובמהלך הקיץ על מנהל התכנית לתמוך ולפתח את תכני התוכנית, וכחלק מפיתוח התכנית יהיה עליו ליצור קשר עם משפחות פוטנציאליות בקהילה ולשווק את התכנית.

 

בנוסף, כחלק מהכשרתו לתפקיד, מנהל התכנית יפנה זמן להשתתף בימי הכשרה ושיחות  עם יועץ/מנטור מארגון ערבים שיעזור לו בתכנון התוכנית הן בהדרכה פרטנית והן בהשתתפות קבוצתית עם מנהלים אחרים ברשת, כדי ללמוד ולרכוש כלים בשיטות ובגישות רכישת שפה ולפי העקרונות של ארגון ערבים/קיץ כיף.

 

בסוף הקיץ ובסיום המחנה, מנהל התכנית יתבקש להשתתף בפגישות סיכום והערכה ויסייע בהשלמת סיכומי התכניות ברשת ארגון עריבים/קיץ כיף.

 

היקף המשרה בתחילתה ועד חודש יוני תהיה רק חלקית משרה, וללא שעות מוגדרות אבל בתיאום עם מנהל המחנה, אבל מחודש יוני ועד ה 19 באוגוסט, התפקיד הופך למשרה מלאה

 

בתקופה שלפני המחנה, שעות העבודה גמישות וניתן לעבוד לפי הצורך והתקדמות ההכנה של התכנית וגם לעבוד בתיאום עם לוח הזמנים של מנהל המחנה והצהרונים.

 

כישורים:

• שליטה שוטפת בשפה העברית והאנגלית

• חובה תואר ראשון/תואר ראשון, עדיפות לתואר שני

• חייב להיות בן 21

• ידע מהותי של מסורות וערכים יהודיים.

• ניסיון של שנתיים ומעלה בעבודה עם נוער במחנה או מסגרת אחרות

• ניסיון במסגרת מנהיגותית, רצוי עם ילדים בגילאי בית ספר יסודי

• מיומנויות תקשורת, ארגוניות ובינאישיות מצוינות

• מיומנויות תקשורת בעל פה ובכתב באנגלית ובעברית

• מיומנויות מחשב כלליות, כולל Microsoft Office ו-Google Suite

• גמישות להשתתף בהכשרות ופגישות לאורך השנה כדי לענות על צורכי התוכנית

• שיפוט עצמאי, יכולת ליזום ולתכנן , ארגון ותקצוב ומיומנויות אדמיניסטרטיביות אחרות.

• יכולת שיקול דעת ולקיחת החלטות בנסיבות שונות ובזמן אמת

• יכולת עבודה עם לוחות זמנים צפוף

• חיובי, אופטימי ונלהב בעבודה עם ילדים

Hebrew Immersion Summer Camp Program Director

​

“CAMP KEF” is a Hebrew immersion summer day camp for children grades K-4. All programming is run parallel to our Elementary Day Camp, which is our English-speaking day camp for K-4 children. The purpose of the program is to fully immerse children in an authentic Hebrew Language environment with all of the activities of a traditional camp experience. All “CAMP KEF” staff are fluent in Hebrew, and support campers as they spend their day in a Hebrew environment. “CAMP KEF” is operated in partnership and with the support and guidance of Areivim Kayitz Kef/Hebrew at Camp.

The “CAMP KEF” Program Director is an integral member of our leadership staff team and will manage all aspects of the Hebrew Immersion program, providing an ongoing spoken Hebrew environment, leading, supporting, and training for the program’s Israeli counselors, developing Hebrew program curriculum, and communicating with parents.  Prior to and during the summer the project leader should advocate for the program and reach out to the community and communicate with prospective families. Prior to camp Project Leader must be available to participate in program planning, as well as individualized and group training in the methods and approach used by Kayitz Kef and "CAMP KEF", the Proficiency Approach to language acquisition. Following the camp season, the Program Director will be available for debrief meetings and assist in the completion of camp summaries.

Position will be part time with no set hours until June, at which point it becomes full time until August 19. In the pre-camp period, work can be done based on the needs of the program and the schedule of the Program Director, as discussed with Director of Camp and Afterschool Programming.

 

Qualifications and skills:

• Fluent in Hebrew and English

• BA/BS required, MA preferred

• Must be 21 years of age

• Substantial knowledge of Jewish traditions and values.

• 2+ years of experience working with youth in a camp or other recreational setting

• Experience in a leadership setting, preferably with elementary school-age children

• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

• Strong interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written communication in English and Hebrew

• Proficient in general computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Flexibility to participate in a yearlong scheduling to meet the needs of the overall program

• Independent judgment, initiative and strong planning, organized, budgeting, & administrative skills.

• Ability to make sound independent judgment and decisions when circumstances arise

• Ability to work with tight deadlines

• Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working with children
